Love to Learn, Together with the Lord

This half term we will be focussing in school on the value FRIENDSHIP.

Click here for ideas to support your child at home with the friendship value.

We hope your family will find these ideas helpful as you explore the FRIENDSHIP value and have fun together.

“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honour.” Romans 12:10

Welcome to our school!

All Saints’ CE Primary is a Church of England Aided school. Our school is a success story; a joy to visit and a credit to all those involved with us.

We are passionate about learning and aim for every child to have a happy and active primary education in an environment that is caring and supportive. We provide a stimulating and structured environment in which all children are encouraged to reach their full potential. We treat all our pupils individually, developing their sense of worth, confidence and independence. We want our children to really love learning.

Ofsted Inspected our school in November 2011, followed by the Anglican Schools Inspection. We were absolutely delighted that Ofsted judged the school to be ‘Good’ and SIAMS judged the school to be ‘Outstanding’ in all categories. Please take the time to read both reports, they are only short but well worth the time!

I am incredibly proud to be Head teacher of All Saints’ CE school, to work alongside such a dedicated team of staff and governors, and have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our wonderful children.

Chitter Chatter Challenge!

We know the importance of being able to speak correctly and the impact it has on reading and writing. With this in mind, we launched our new, whole school challenge. We are listening out for a common mistake and helping each other to get it right.

If I can say it, I can write it!

James Britton (1983) put it so eloquently, 'Reading and writing float on a sea of talk'

‘Put simply, talk, or oracy, is the foundation of literacy.’ (2008)
