Good Morning

The weather is perfect for Sports Day today so we look forward to seeing you all later.  For safeguarding reasons, children must stay with their class throughout the morning so we know where they are; we will give you all time at the end to meet with them. Attached is the code of conduct for morning. Please can we ask politely that everyone read them.

Sportsmanship Key Points

• Enjoy yourself and promote enjoyment for others.
• Be responsible for your actions.
• Take pride in everyone’s performance and the school.
• Encourage others to do or be their best.
• Be a good role model, sportsmanship should be contagious.
• Practice sportsmanship in all situations.

Expectations for parents/carers and supporters

• Treat the competition as a game, not war!
• Attendance at a game is a privilege.
• Applaud the performances of all participants.
• Respect decisions made by school staff.
• Be a good role model by positively supporting teams.
• Respect other spectators and All the children participating.
• Be a fan not a fanatic.
• Recognise all performances on either side of the playing field.

Unacceptable Behaviour

• Negative gestures or chants towards staff or children
• Criticising staff in any way; displays of anger with any decisions.
• Blaming loss of an event on children or staff
• Laughing or name calling to distract an opponent.
• Using bad language or displays of anger
