A parent has reported some concerns about on incident on the Online Apps musical.ly and live.ly. You need to take special care if you allowing your child to use these apps and check the setting and privacy controls.
The description on live.ly says ‘you can broadcast your life to the world as it happens and also initiate group video chat with your friends’. Please note both these apps are rated for children who are 12+. You don’t always know who these virtual friends are, how old they are and what are their intentions. music.ly allows them to make and share videos with their friends and the world. If you google parental controls for either these sites, there is advice on setting the security features and we can only urge you to be aware of allowing your children to use
them.
